I leave Swallow at the dam and head to the grocery store. I am in and out of the King Snoop in about 5 minutes and head home to make dinner. Hungry was home and asked what I was fixing. I repsonded with "stuffed pork chops on the grill, onion asparagus and cheesy garlic mashed potatoes." He then looks down at his can of green beans and says, enough for one more? Of course, Hungry I always make leftovers. I am cooking away and in come the troops, Swallow, Boozer, and the mean bartender. They come around the corner and see that what I am making, and Swallow opens her mouth with "see I told you she would make whatever I wanted." I laughed as did the rest of the troops. Dinner was ready about 20 minutes later, and let it be known there were absolutely no leftovers. It felt so good to have a table full of people sitting around eating my food. :)
The mean bartender has put in his request to be added to the meal plan. He is welcome anytime. I love having mouths to feed. That is one of the only things I miss about living Gainesville and playing house. There were always people that wanted to come for dinner. After dinner we head down to the shitty pub. It seems to be our new favorite spot. It is close to the house, they have the best hamburger in Denver, and they have a shuffleboard. Ames and I are constantly being challenged on the board. We are normally unstoppable and last night started off just the same. However, we did end up losing the last game of the night...but hey even the best go down sometime. Feel free to challenge us at any time.
I am pretty disappointed that every bar that I have ever been to in florida doesn't have this game. I feel like I truly missed out on this lovely game. I guess that is why I am making up for lost time now. I was explaining it to Werd, and she was like "that is a game for old people to play, what are you thinking?" I explained the game to her again, but she didn't get it. So I thought I'd post a picture of it instead. If you get a chance to give shuffleboard a chance, I highly recommend it. Maybe I should invest in a table myself.
